With apprentices Australia wide, Byrnecut provides excellent training and learning opportunities to many young and mature aged people, with many progressing on to full time roles upon completion.
Byrnecut apprentices are rotated through various mine sites, gaining valuable skills and experience working alongside mining professionals.
Byrnecut arranges the off the job training of all apprentices via a registered training organisation (RTO), who deliver all training and assessments.
This training, combined with the skills gained on site will see the apprentice develop the required knowledge to conduct servicing, repair, overhaul and fault finding in their specific trade.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, a nationally recognised qualification Certificate III in the specific trade will be issued.
- Successful completion of Year 11
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Current “C” class driver’s licence.
- Completion or partial completion of a pre-apprenticeship is highly advantageous but not essential.

Successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, prior to an offer of employment.
